As a certified boat captain, can confirm. With quad 300 outboards on a 30 foot boat, your range is 300-400 miles and then you run out of gas and drift for god knows how long until you're rescued.
None of these boats could make the 1,700 mile trip. And the Coast Guard would intercept you anyway.

They want the social security or driver's license of the Voters, addresses and other personal information that is protected by State Laws as well.
