What traitorous dolts the British rightwing were to oblige Russia and the network of oligarchs who hate the power of EU collaboration and prosperity. Now we find ourselves isolated, the EU weakened and Ukraine being betrayed.
Shame on all who paved the way…

Since Slot is casting around for more excuses for 🐀’s drop in form since leaving #NUFC, perhaps he should forget rationalising the stats and listen to George Michael’s Careless Whisper.

The Light in Bradford was turning people away from this afternoon’s performance of The Choral but fortunately we booked. If you enjoy Elgar, WW1, Alan Bennett, Ralph Fiennes, and seeing Saltaire looking gorgeous, it will tick as many boxes for you as it did for me. Stirring stuff, done masterfully.

When you love a book, you often find a TV drama doesn’t do it justice so I started Tresspasses @channel4tv.bsky.social with mixed feelings. Michael wasn’t as I imagined at first, but after binge watching I can say it was perfect. The performances and production were brilliant.

Same rookie error as in Auf Weidersehen, Pet episode 3 when Oz and Dennis go to support the Mackems in Belgium. As Toon fans they would rather have stayed in the hut! #NUFC
I think we can say with some certainty that the Guardian sports writers know absolutely nothing about Newcastle United and their fans.

Most fans with few exceptions are desolate that the Mackems sit above us in the league and are desperate for the natural order of things to be restored !

When the cockle pickers were drowned in Morecambe years ago I spoke to students about how people were dehumanised by the label 'asylum seekers'. Someone said, "But it's not sad like a family drowning on holiday." Then it went quiet, because, I think, everyone realised that's exactly how sad it was.
🔴Language matters. Rather than 'migrants', why don't we just call them 'people'?

Some thoughts on how we can do better. 👇

Spent a fascinating morning visiting the Turner Prize shortlist exhibition at Cartwright Hall. My favourite was the immersive experience created by Zadie Xa. Walking barefoot on a mirrored copper floor amid a soundscape while studying her intricate work was truly magical. @bradford2025.co.uk

Leaving the ECHR would allow the State Pension, the Minimum Wage, Sick Pay, Maternity Pay, Paid Holiday and working hour limits to all be abolished.

They would make hundreds of billions from this.

That is what they want.

After last night’s incredible heroics amid awful refereeing, biased comments etc, I am not in the mood to hear another word about Isak and what he wants.

An unforgivable aspect of Isak’s entitled behaviour is that Eddie had been so ill with pneumonia just before the season ended & needed to recharge instead of facing a media storm daily. The conceit of piling such pressure on his coach & remarkable team that enabled his success is contemptible #nufc
