Northern Cultural Projects has secured a £240,186 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and £36,488 match funding from Karbon Homes, to see one of the hobby rooms on the Byker estate transformed into a community archive. This is the message from Moatasem I quoted in my speech at the Newcastle Unites rally. He is one of the asylum seekers in the hotel which has been the target of far-right and other racist protesters since August, with counter-protesters standing in their way every weekend. #standuptoracism
