The agency only lasted two years and folded some time ago, leaving my client up shit creek.

The agency owner now runs an ad agency and an analytics agency - neither of which has a website…

The smell of grift lingers strong in that one.

These are hash codes that once they have auto filled a web form they then search for to see if anything they have placed appears on a web page - if it does they know they can target that site and sell backlinks. #scumbags

I was just coming back to say if its not a .gov site - already found an example of a .gov site that isn't open 24hours - something to do with child care so was going to say i don't need to know the details! Thanks for mentioning the DVLA. Can only be ancient systems causing that.
