A wonderful friend of mine just turned 60. His ancestor won a VC in WW1 so I made him this. Frame and photo cost about £20, the Victoria Cross an extra £400k but I’m sure you’ll agree it was worth every penny :) PS don’t tell him - it’s a surprise

I loved this new book 'Firestarter'. True story of 1830s arsonist in Gt Shelford (where I grew up). You really are transported. Backdrop of 'inclosure', Swing Riots, underpinned by archive letters, newspapers, assize & parish records & the harsh finale on the gallows. #Genealogy #OnePlaceStudies

Curious, any ideas? - Henrietta Brent baptised in 1792 in High Ham Somerset along with younger sister. They were born 1787 and 1789. Think parents were gentry, she will marry landed gentry. Why the baptism delay - they feared unbaptised infant death #FamilyHistory #Genealogy
