Calling lovely friends in Queensland. A Shropshire memorial & death date for 2xG Uncle Matthew Henry Davies led to his death in Colony Towers QSD 10 Jul 1897. I think was a gold prospecting town? Any tips on info sources gratefully received (death records, newspapers...) xx #GenHour #FamilyHistory

A wonderful friend of mine just turned 60. His ancestor won a VC in WW1 so I made him this. Frame and photo cost about £20, the Victoria Cross an extra £400k but I’m sure you’ll agree it was worth every penny :) PS don’t tell him - it’s a surprise
