Sadly, we're not off to a great start. As winter takes hold more fly tipping becomes visible 🙁 During 2025 I reported more than 50 instances of fly tipping. This is my first report of 2026. Hopefully Kirklees will take more enforcement action against those making a mess of our area.

In the run up to Christmas I was still out and about talking to folks and working to sort out issues in the local area. Time for a break for a couple of days. Have a great Christmas :-)

Out talking to residents this afternoon. A lot of people expressing deep unhappiness with our Labour government, and the local Labour controlled council. The Green Party aims to offer people a more hopeful outlook, with different politcal choices #MakeHopeNormalAgain

Today, I spotted a white cat food pouch among the normally silver pouches, from Aldi. I just assumed it was some sort of promotion, or something. When I eventually fished that one out, it turned out to be from a totally different supermarket brand, and destined for a different country!
