It's so strange, every time I start talking about my book that I haven't actually started writing, people who have written books quit taking me seriously, wth? 🤷‍♀️

I almost always put side-chain compression on the bass with kick as the input, and often I'll side chain compress the whole guitar buss with lead vox as the input. I generally avoid changing EQ mid-mix. Varying mics on layers is big too, so you're not compounding a mic's 'color' w/ multiple passes.

I've had that thought too. More recently I think thats the gaslighting talking that I'm not as clear as I think I am. Maybe it's not intentional but some weird third thing, but I've given the benefit of the doubt at my own expense long enough to not want to do that any more when I see a pattern.

I swear it's like the more clearly I communicate the less I feel like people hear me sometimes. 🤷‍♀️

I feel this. No matter how bad it gets there is always someone who has it worse, so it can be hard to 'say this sucks and should be better' full stop. Living month to month is its own hell and it's ok to feel that. Disposable income shouldn't be a luxury or cost 1000% of your life force. 💖

This especially pisses me off on records where the artist is dead and they tack on a bunch of tracks that didnt make the cut... usually for a reason.

I have! Another one is garlic. They arent bothering to dry it so it's all soft and green on the inside and goes bad quickly.
