More importantly - why don’t people notice that we’re ALWAYS in a recession of some sort or other?
not that the present economic picture is rosy, but i do think that popular culture — and specifically nostalgia bait television — is a big part of the reason that our public memory of the 1970s, 1980s and even 1990s seems to miss the real economic pain that marked each of those decades.

Listening to a cricket podcast earlier and I began to loathe the two giggling blokes with their ironic high fives and mad cheerfulness. Then I realised I just hated the sound of people younger than me having a better time than me.

The Left (myself and a few others) have been warning people about the rise of Fascism in the west since 2010. You didn’t listen and so the only option for me is a chip butty - a REAL chip butty, homemade chips, cheap white bread and a lot of butter. It won’t kill Farage, but it will make me happy.

I guess I was never really into grunge. I had Pearl Jam's first two albums and saw them in concert. It was awesome, then I stopped with them. I had Core by STP, but no real other grunge. I listened enough through my friends and they went to the shows.
