What’s the word where you’re from that, when pronounced exactly as it looks, identifies a tourist immediately?

I'm an insufferable optimist about social media, despite ALL evidence to the contrary, particularly over the past few years.
I also know I can be cynical and dry on SM, but when you read of something good happening for people/between people because of SM, it doesn't half put a little faith back.

Despite *everything* going on, I think it still has power to bring greatness, and happiness, to a lot of people. Connection, opportunity, etc. Even kind words from a stranger may influence others to go on and do good things.

Plus, we have shitposting.
simonpegg.bsky.social
Far too many to mention, to be honest.
I am old enough to still be optimistic about it's power for goodness, and greatness, in people's lives.

Has anything great happened in your life because of social media?

Kemi Badenoch does come across like the work experience kid who was left in charge of the office for 5 minutes while everyone else nipped out for a ciggie. They all got hit by a bus so she was just left in there to keep going, and nobody checked in.

It appears the Tories will only recognise 3 sexes.
Male, Female, and Uranium 235.

They are advocates of the 'nuclear family' I guess.

Didn't say she'd stand for the National Anthem, did she.
Traitor!

I do hope everyone remembers this speech from Kemi in four years' time, when the Tories will be on at least a third new leader since today going up against Labour.

It’s a "crisis" when immigrants "take jobs away", but "innovation" when machines do. Funny.

Actually, this Kemi Badenoch speech is perfect for social media users who miss shitposting along to Eurovision.
