Look for scenes that speak to you. Take lots of photos; some might be better when you see them later. Trust your eye. If you dont understand your camera, take a class but skip the classes in "how to be a photographer". Look at photos. What is it about the ones you like? Look for that, everywhere.

The best camera you have is the one you have with you.
