100%, it's always so hard to decide on what to get every year. And while it's nice that this time there's a "buy everything" option it's hard to justify spending that much

I wish they did a monthly subscription model instead. 11 comics a month would be a lot more manageable, financially & otherwise

With ethical entertainment options dwindling, here's one of my picks: A Void in Reality. Technically a FATE Core AP podcast, but it's Youtube version sometimes has accompanying visuals, so it's great for playing your Switch and looking up every once in a while!

Tragic tale about a guy who falls in love with eggs. Over a few years he collects thousands of eggs of many kinds and lays them out around his house. One day there is an earth quake, all of the eggs crack and release a vile goo. The man is never seen again.

Look I'm just gonna say it, I'm proud of this icon I designed for Wax Heads, look at how cute that little guy is!!!

I do think the earliest memory of something scaring me in a game and me loving the experience has to be Shalebridge Cradle in Thief Deadly Shadows.

From then on, I enjoyed and sought out titles like Obscure, The Suffering, Silent Hill 4, Cold Fear, Condemned or Dead Space.

I think it's because having more agency made video games less scary than movies to me. Like, I could fight back against the horrors, didn't just have to watch them happen to characters.

I remember in my teens being like "I like horror games but not horror movies!" (that's definitely changed haha).

I said "weirdly" because I definitely got scared by a lot of other media (I remember Bambi being my first time going to the movies but being so scared I wanted to walk out lol), even entirely innocuous ones. See this old comic about one of my earliest memories.

I weirdly can't think of any video games genuinely *scaring* me as a kid.

I do remember thinking the imagery in Captain Bible and the Dome of Darkness was creepy though, that might be the earliest example of that in video games that I can think of.
