It’s hard to sum up how good it was. Sorry I can’t be there today but this event has been amazing. Yes the range of trains/events was amazing but the best bit for me was the people, all brought together & great to see some familiar faces! Thanks to #DCRail for hosting us!

A tip off from FL colleagues of a new Gateway path, 4L73 from Tinsley that’s booked via my local line so popped down to Bruce Grove to see it cruise thru. 66553 leads a mix of FLA lowliner twin & quintets plus some FSAs with 8’6” 20fts which enables the use of this gauge restricted line #RailFreight

Not every day you get to do a historical move but that’s what I supported today with a #RailAdventure wagon move taking Class 43 HST power cars to Dollands Moor for only the 2nd time & the first time via the main line & under their own power. Just one buffer stop away from running off to France 🇫🇷 👋

Only downside is the delayed departure due to the French border system going down (remind me why we have this again). This did give me some more time to admire some features such as the Bombardier 1992 doorstep plate, 3211-3212 unit connector and the refreshed interior. #TrainTravel

Cannot remember the last time I used this platform to board/alight a train at Finsbury Park.
This was courtesy of a Thameslink unit sat on 7 with a broken window otherwise the doors never open on 6 and trains aren’t scheduled to stop on 5.

And finally at Dover Priory to head home on high speed on a very busy 6-car service. It will pick up more coaches at Ashford but I wonder whether it could be easier to simply run them as 12s. All good challenges to have though. #TrainLife #TrainTravel #NetworkSouthEast❤️💙🤍

At Dover, a London-bound Javelin and a Dover-bound 375 have passed at Shakespeare Beach with Dover Harbour in the distance. A great view from above the down end of Shakespeare Cliff Tunnel.
