The advancements in treatment have come a long way in the 26 years since my dad's diagnosis. His choices were a terribly invasive surgery that he may not have recovered from, or do nothing. Both terrible options. He chose to do nothing. I hope your dad gets the best possible outcome.

Very sorry to hear that. My dad was diagnosed at 70, after initial exposure to construction materials 40 years prior. My unsolicited advice: consult a lawyer experienced in asbestos lawsuits. The process is a drag but the results may surprise you. There is $ out there. The companies deserve to pay
