No one special, just trying to get through the day.
There are no guarantees in sports, just like there are none in life. That's why people watch.

"Meta is exploring who should be recognizable through the technology...Possible options include recognizing people a user knows because they are connected on a Meta platform, and identifying people whom the user may not know but who have a public account on a Meta site like Instagram."
At least one Meta employee thinks it's a good time to add facial recognition technology to glasses because we're too distracted by fascism to effectively protest www.nytimes.com/2026/02/13/t...

The way that every non-governmental entity (print journalism, tv journalism, pollsters, etc) has failed us in the country's most desperate hour, is going to make fantastic reading in the history books that other countries will still be allowed publish.

I love Olympic hockey. No fighting. I don't ever watch NHL, it's just brawling for dollars.

19-0 still doesn't feel like enough. This is NE, and these jerks always find some way to come back. Sometimes I think they take it easy on purpose so they can make a comeback in the 4th quarter

Most of all, I miss the nights where we smoked and drank too much, played meaningless games with all our hearts, and locked the world out with nothing more than a sliding glass door.

It fills me with sorrow and rage that young people no longer have the luxury of irrelevance, that they must matter.

While independent bookstores are giving out free whistles, hosting protest sign making events, and donating proceeds to mutual aid, Amazon is *checks notes* providing technology that assists ICE in their terrorizing of communities.

Independent bookstores deserve your support. Amazon does not.

Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is stay soft in a world that keeps asking you to harden up.

Pay attention to what steadies you — a quiet moment, a voice, a song — and keep those things close. They ain’t escapes; they’re anchors.

Imagine being informed that a loved one was murdered in the street by a govt sponsored terrorist organization via phone call from some crass journalist trying to get a scoop, and then being bombarded with video of that murder over and over again in every form of media. I'm heartbroken for them

We are community or we are less. We are engines of kindness and connectivity or we are less. When decency is framed as a radical position we must remain who we are. Our resistance is also in refusing to be less openhearted and filled with compassion.

I shouldn't be, but I'm totally flabbergasted by Congress's lack of action. I don't need a play by play on what that ass is doing. I can see it. I don't need to hear more kitchen table issue bs. I'm living it. They need to tell me WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO DO ABOUT HIM. If not now, when??
