Hello Bluesky, I'm looking for a remote game programming position! Some stuff I have done:

- Managed an entire custom Unreal codebase at Lux Machina
- Designed *and* implemented new gameplay features in The Light Brigade

I am a game dev with minimal html css js experience but when I take a break from game engines that are rendering millions of triangles at hundreds of frames per second to watch a news article struggle helplessly under the weight of a few ads, I do wonder what is happening

the thing about discord is I'm in like 30 servers that are all intentional spaces with beautiful designs and carefully crafted communities but the only one I actually use is a dumb hole called "familyfuncenter" with a picture of Salacious Crumb and my 4 idiot friends

if I self-host a PDS on one server and then decide I want to move it to a different server, is that relatively painless? is it as easy as copying the docker image elsewhere and updating the DNS records, or would I have to do a full PDS transfer process again?

someone at youtube figured out how to tune the algorithm so that it can differentiate between me watching my silly comedy video game videos and my father-in-law taking over the tv to watch AI-generated home walkthroughs and I’m very grateful for that person
