I had to entirely re-export this. I drew it nine years ago and the files were corrupted.

It was funny opening up the old files and seeing how different my priorities were and how many basic mistakes I was making.

This sequence was my baby back then and I remember being so proud of it.

the main thing I learned is that a lot of developers timed updates to their game so that it could be released alongside or shortly after TGAs, I guess in the hope of multiplying the effect

saw an article scroll by to the effect of "is blue prince in trouble since it won't win a game award due to not having non-english locs" and decided it would be interesting to see if winning a TGA last year affected anyone's sales at all

summary:
* Senua's saga saw a microscopic bump
* Black Myth Wukong had no noticable effect compared to a content patch the next week
* Frostpunk 2 no noticeable effect
* Baldur's Gate 3 no noticeable effect
* Balatro had a huge jump but also had a giant same-day content patch
* Neva had a noticable if small bump comparable with an accessibility patch bump the next week

Okay, games researchers: looking for something that happened in 1991-92ish. the sound team at Sierra On-Line was interviewed, including Chris Braymen; talked in the interview about using character and leitmotif, key changes, and transition pieces. Trying to find the magazine, if anyone has clues.
