That may be true, but that doesn't mean AI itself can't be part of that process or make that art, just that a lot of people don't understand art very well, and aren't curious enough to find creative ways of using AI.

as an example: around 800 million people use chatgpt every week, which, regardless of whether we're in an AI bubble insofar as industry valuations are concerned, isn't insignificant (and only represents one AI tool/use case)

i'd say 'nigh everyone hates ai' is a pretty massive exaggeration. online leftists tend not to like it, but the average person outside the online leftist bubble isn't nearly so unfriendly. that being said, yeah they definitely do keep trying to find use cases that are uniquely terrible for ai

fwiw virtually every ai disagreement i have ever had on this platform is descriptive. like i think my only major prescriptive disagreement I get into is that i don't think copyright is actually a good thing, the remainder is just me, like, wanting to describe the thing correctly
