Correcting myself: “got past” could imply he didn’t submit his full routine to review by these censors. He obviously did send them the whole thing, and they obviously thought there was no worry of excessive free speech.

Of course it went over well. It got past the censors who decided whether he was allowed onstage in the first place. He was sufficiently inoffensive to his audience, and got paid well for it.

"decentralized" means that you no longer have to rely on a large, complex system run by a few unreachable elites! instead, you get to rely on one guy who has to leave his computer on all day, and will never abuse his tiny amount of power

I can blame them, and do. They made an environment where their child is terrified of telling them one of the most fundamental about themselves, to the point people want it to *be a crime* for someone else to know first. They can feel bad about it, and then work on their problems to fix it.
