If you have a Chameleon Robe and Winged Boots it will invalidate all of his dangerous attacks, forcing him to rely on the standard attack command. Makes it a lot easier to kite him around.

Everyone (including me) is playing Final Fantasy Tactics right now, but its older sibling Tactics Ogre actually celebrated its 30th yesterday.

The 2011 Tactics Ogre localization added some Song of Ice and Fire names to the generic pool, and it also predates the HBO show. Probably just some book nerds involved.
