Yes. It's terrible. I asked it to do basic division, and it got it wrong. I asked it how many countries are in NATO, and it got it wrong. I asked it to decode something in base64, it got it wrong. I have personally been involved with testing the capability of major public facing AI agents.

It's because poor countries have the largest trade imbalance with the US. They make consumption products, and the US is a consumption machine. Meanwhile the US is a high tech and service export country, and those countries can't use/afford those products. It's brainless.

Well in one case, tariffs on an economic and military adversary, and in the case of Bidens additions, targeted products and industries. And in this case, global tariffs, including on long time allies, based on pure bullshit and without any coherent reason. That might be why there is a difference.
