Sure feels like Varda links Drouot to Sirk’s Rock Hudson to give Happiness a touch of symbolic melodrama via flannel (etc etc as symbols do that)

Happiness 1964 Agnes Varda. Holy merde what a great film. May as well have been based off the same Henry James’ stories as Celine & Julie with Agnes’s N of 1 flourishes
