George Eliot on the untasty conversational flavors of… our friends. Not the barrage of elbows dished out by Stone Cold Austen, more an occasional suplex that makes the reader wonder “does she mean me?”
Middlemarch Besides, he was a likeable man: sweet-tempered, ready-witted, frank, without grins of suppressed bitterness or other conversational flavours which make half of us an affliction to our friends. Lydgate liked him heartily and wished for his friendship.

Hey, I found a video of me wearing my big skull mask with the gears and moving parts! This was Mardi Gras morning and the mask was already falling apart; the rotating crossbones had stopped working and the whole thing was becoming sort of rickety. Try not to build machines out of paper mache, maybe!

Orpheus back turned to Eurydice w head down. He’s being a big dick to Eurydice as another guy looks on Says: It's her fault! She could provoke even a corpse to turn around! Now while it is true that Eurydice is gorgeous and adorable, Orpheus is still a putz in this version.
