Yeah, I wasn't on the twitters or blooskies at the time so I didn't get a chance to push it but it was a kind of exciting moment of overlap of my past and current lives!

This was one of my only beefs with the Shōgun tv show, which was otherwise pretty well-researched... they showed Jesuits with that style tonsure which, to my knowledge, we never used.

Whew, passed my oral defense! I think I have now mastered divinity? I guess at some point they'll give me a piece of paper but I think that officially ticks the last of the boxes.

I try not to get too rose-colored glasses about the past, but we did used to have some kind of collective agreement that children should not be terrorized, even if we don't particularly like their parents for some reason.
