I made that decision after nearly 20 years of playing guitar for fun and never thinking anything of it. I'm in my 30s. you can start a new hobby anytime!!

there is no greater disappointment than when watching a new "can I beat X Game without doing Y" video and the answer being "no, unless I bend the rules in this one spot" in the first five minutes.

I scrapped an entire instrumental last week cause I just wasn't feeling how it turned out. I spent time polishing and polishing but it just wasn't working .... hard decision, but I feel it was right. Some of the riffs were good but altogether it just felt like a repetitive mess.

Starting to experiment more with my compositional style, trying to be less rigidly adherent to the grid and embrace a little more freedom. Its fun, and its got me challenging myself just a little more and trying to consider how I can make "done" parts even more interesting.

I've experienced sleep paralysis most nights for my entire life, but I have never perceived a "demon" or any sort of "entity" when it happens, as some people apparently do.
It really does suck though, and I fear there will be a time when my brain just decides never to snap out of it...
