Look at that face...

Look at those eyes...

Poor Darling.

Soo stressed.

I hope to see another photo of that face relaxed and happy he has settled into his forever home.

I have never, in hundreds & hundreds of sessions, met a trauma survivor who wanted to be "rescued."

I HAVE met hundreds of survivors who wanted to be seen & supported in rescuing themselves-- & caring for the past version of themselves who actually did need rescuing at one time.

You & I have always had what we needed to recover from CPTSD-- but we were convinced that we didn't. That we couldn't. That we were inherently too "stupid" or "lazy" or "bad" or whatever.

As you wake up to the truth about yourself, you're going to be pissed-- & you should be.

It is not you fault if connections you thought were safe, turned out to be unsafe. Predators are skilled at not only hiding red flags, but leveraging our past to make red flags appear green.

Do not shame yourself for buying into a facade that was masterfully constructed.

You wouldn't let just anyone in your house. Don't let just anyone in your head. Be ruthlessly mindful about what you read, what social media accounts you follow, what you watch, what you listen to.

EVERYTHING we consume either feeds our symptomatology or feeds our recovery.

Different "parts" of us know, remember, can talk about, & can do things that other parts can't.

For my money, "parts work" isn't just a metaphor-- & it's not just applicable to survivors who happen to have DID. It's a tool for anyone serious about trauma recovery.

Just doing some careful research ahead of voting tomorrow.
It's surprising how well hidden some parties' policies are.
I start digging around in their small print.
Oh - you want to abolish renewable energy targets?
No thank you!

The crossbench has been pushing for better protections in law and a whistleblower protection authority👇

With a third of Australians preferring representatives other than major parties members, a parliament with 1/3 Labor, 1/3 LNP and 1/3 others would be perfect. Minority Govt in a balanced parliament should be embraced as the best democratic and representative outcome. #auspol

Cutting 36k public servants would be bad for veterans, aged care recipients, ppl on NDIS & everyone else benefiting from valuable govt services.
