Mila just sits on my lap and stares at me. It’s very lovely but sometimes unsettling haha

I have an offer to make: do you want to run an instance on the fediverse for a group that's underrepresented here?

I'll pay the bills. Period.

I'll do admin if needed (software updates and the like). But you decide what kind of community you want it to be, so you put together the mod team.

DM me.

Is it just me or do the recent Assassins' Creed games feel.. clunky? Like it's beautiful like any AAA game but so much of it just isn't.. fun. ;/ I used to really love this game. (I'm playing Shadows right now. It's very pretty but I am not having fun.)

We saw her in a little box at a Petco 7 years ago, around this time. She was 11. They said if we didn’t take her she would most likely be euthanized. We thought ‘wouldn’t it be nice to give her a home for the next year or two’.

It’s been 7 years and she’s still […]

#kelpfest on the #mendocinocoast has been great. Indigenous food and craft at Xa Kako Dile farm was inspiring.
Paper cup with a sprig of ripe wild grapes beside a smaller cup filled with creamed acorn paste. A native child’s hands peel a hard boiled quail egg over a basket full of discarded shells, and next to a full white bowl of more brown dappled eggs. A wide basket on an outdoor table is probably full of dried bay nuts, because the empty glass pan has crumbs and a small spatula in it, with a sign below saying “pepperwood (bay nut) shortbread”. I missed out on. A tabletop with various baskets containing acorns and meal, alongside some stone tools for processing.

6 days of messing around with my guitar: things are starting to click for me. The Spanish ‘pima’ system for the right hand as well as how to do free strokes and rest strokes; how to position both hands.

There is a wealth of good classical guitar videos on YouTube, but I mainly use them to check […]

The Heart of the Farmer’s Market in Civic Center next to the San Francisco Public Library is my favorite farmers’ market. Not only is the stuff cheaper than many of the other markets (it is actually cheaper than a grocery store; not every farmers market is like this), it also has more of the […]

New York is not a dangerous city.

It's a very silly place filled with people who think they are very mean and touch but who aren't really good at being mean.

I like Toni Colette and I like Mae Martin so I really liked this.

Mae’s character as a trans man in 1990s Vermont really lent itself well to the hippie dippie culty vibes of the show

As an #actuallyautistic cook, i used to find it hard to intuitively know when something was ‘done’. I couldn’t do that just by look or taste (I have black and white thinking around if it says 7 min, 6 min makes me feel weird). But the one thing that works for me: the fork or chopstick test […]

Why are all the horror / cult movies set in Vermont or Maine? There are scary things in California too. Like dudes in Patagucci
