thoughts on the #amtrak Carolinian: from NYP-RGH: one of the most comfortable, scenic, and driving-competitive routes I've been on. 10h from the middle of NYC to the middle of Raleigh for $77 is often cheaper than the gas and tolls (and faster on weekdays), if you are travelling alone or as a pair

you gotta love how neither of the parties go into detail on what exactly this does and instead just keep glazing each other. what will LiDAR do for a train approaching a car at 125mph? "yes there is indeed a car there"? hell if I know

sometimes I get trapped into thinking about pure MPG, so this number looks bad. but then I remember that really it's all about gallons per mile per person in which case it's even better! #hypermiling
