Yeah, I read it a couple years ago and wasn’t terribly impressed. Like, it has little conflicts, but there’s no *friction* in those conflicts. It also felt a little TOO neat, overall, in how those conflicts were resolved.

Cool!! I didn’t get into TRON until Legacy (thanks to Daft Punk doing the music); I watched ‘82 on YouTube of all places, and just adored it. Legacy really captured my imagination in a way that hasn’t let up for 15 years!! I have heard good things abt 2.0, though!! And that is a cool fun fact, too!!

I’ve been reading Skin Deep since about July 2007!! It’s been so much fun to follow the stories and also watch your art evolve over that time. Thanks so much for making it!! :D

My brother and I were allowed to get a can of Sprite out of their garage fridge, to have with lunch. And so whenever I have Sprite, I'm reminded intensely of those summers with my grandparents, and of drinking Sprite out of a cold can with a turkey sandwich and potato chips.

(And even AS a TRON fan, Ares didn’t feel like it was for me, either!! All new characters, no real connections to previous films outside of those cutesy references, and utterly at odds with the Cool Computer World conceit of the whole franchise. It was exhausting to watch at times.)

As someone who adores TRON (and Legacy for that matter) I was truly baffled by all the references to the ‘82 film in Ares. Like. Yay for me as a TRON fan, but what normal filmgoer is going to know the significance of oranges in the original film (just for example)???

(…and Tron wasn’t even MENTIONED…)

Caron Simply Soft. It is kinda slick and splitty sometimes, but I knit a hat with it a decade ago that is still keeping me warm each winter.
