Our children introducing and demonstrating our new signs of the moment on our first Makaton Monday.

We would love if our families practiced our signs and songs with the children when they are at home and spoke about our new story of the moment.

Following on from interest in casting magic spells. We made magic playdough adding glitter and using cauldrons to ‘cook’ our potion. We also explored pumpkin seeds making faces in the playdough, discussing our emotions 🎃 🪄 we also learned how to draw a spider web practicing our fine motor skills 🕸️

We have been exploring a variety of numeracy experiences. We have practiced counting and matching numbers, matching numbers to quantities, counting using one to one correspondence and have been introduced to numicon. Lots of lovely sharing and interactions ❤️

Thank you to one of our parents who kindly donated a bubble lamp to the nursery for our nurture space. the children have loved watching the fish float in the bubbles as the colours changed 🐠 🫧
