If there is any filmmaker out there who can replicate the feeling of playing as James running around the cold, empty streets of Silent Hill and dreading coming face to face with whatever is waiting for him in the fog, it's Kiyoshi Kurosawa.

It's probably most noticeable in Kairo (Pulse), but it's a recurring motif throughout his filmography and it's always felt verrrrry Silent Hill to me.

I have no idea why you would take what is arguably the most beloved and iconic horror game of all time and decide to fuck up its story beyond recognition, but RTSH is bad enough that it should end Christophe Gans' career and I say that with no hyperbole. It's actually that bad. Insultingly bad.
