So this post stuck around in the back of my mind for a bit. Today it came forward and I had Claude whip up a WordStar emulator to run in the browser with support for most of the key commands and in a retro green on black CRT look. Not particularly useful but a fun walk down memory lane.

I know the feeling. I wrote my own WordStar clone back then and had the key combos in muscle memory. They were replaced by WordPerfect's key combos. Remember when function keys were on the left, not the top?

Remember Blackbox? Long before the modern internet and Amazon and easy overnight delivery, there was Blackbox where you could get most any computer/networking cable, part, card, etc. and they'd take your order 24/7.

And their boxes were made to last! Recycled this one after our most recent move.
