Due to increasingly farcical politics, could explain a lot. You don’t have to make bruenigs point about the end of some covid welfare programs being well timed to explain people’s changing replies (tho, you can, and stencil has no reply to that either)

In general his whole schtick that people’s feelings about the economy should mirror a graph of some set of econ indicators is just…not reflective of knowing other human beings. People arent robot economists and will answer about life in general. A declining expectation that things will improve, say

It also doesnt have any data, just a summary. I asked because the data seems hard to come by and i wondered how people knew. Dershowitz certainly isn’t trustworthy. This looks more rigorous than that pop news article and yea, it’s pretty ambiguous, tho it does seem more limited than other armies:

Interesting, can you point to a source for that? I’m mostly finding intra-military rape statistics and not yet finding anything comparing countries in wartime sexual violence.

Formal approval for rape and systemic failure to investigate human trafficking don’t seem ‘weak’ to me but eye of the beholder i guess 🤷🏼♂️

The US state dept published a report this year saying israel doesn’t meet the minimum standard for eliminating human trafficking.

The curves give an immediate visual assessment of the difference between fraction of the population and fraction of wealth. The bar graph is ok too but for the same point you have to first do subtraction to determine population fraction, then compare to a 3rd number.

Someone who has since removed themselves from this conversation posted this link in defense of the speculation that labor organizer Jane McAlevey votes for democrats. I don’t know how or if she votes, but the cognitive dissonance to cite this is amazing:

She certainly knows that. I dont see how that makes you sure if she voted or for whom though. Sorry your 20 years (of anti-imperial politics?) haven’t been more fruitful, no one’s succeeding, this country is pretty well buried by its genocidal, settler colonizing founding, Shared values with israel!

Vote withholding is just voting for people you support and people you don’t. Re empire, none of us has shown how to stop it - or did you want to explain how your approach has worked? If you insist on looking for results in the wrong places tho (electoral politics), the STOP BEZOS pressure worked
