RCMP raid in my general area. Apparently Joel Gaudet is in custody and the road is now open. This is in association with the recent takedown of a local organized crime group.

I’m mostly a rock bassist. Have been all my life and if you had told me 20 years ago that I’d be playing jazz, let alone Miles Davis and The Duke I’d have said you’re nuts. If you’d added that I’d be playing a bass solo in the aforementioned I’d have laughed out loud, but here we are.

It’s actually Kespukwitk territory not Sipekni’katik. So they never fished here in Clare traditionally.

I’m happy to report that the Meteghan River is flowing once again. The water has breeched the top of the dam. It was down as much as two feet below the top.

I’m happy to report that our pond is now full again. The water table is going to take a lot more rain however.

You have to have water flowing in a river in order for salmon to swim upstream.

The grand total, 30mm over the course of the weather event. More rain in one storm than we’ve had in total since May, though that’s not saying much. We are grateful, and just before Thanksgiving.
