My favorite thing about The Game Awards (like every other awards show) is how little I know about modern pop culture video games. I’ve barely heard of any of these games or people or actors(?).

I found my Book It! medal from reading at school and earning Pizza Hut as a kid (they must have used the same copyright for a long time, because I was not reading yet in 1995 haha).

This might be a hot take, but I think a hidden gem of the iPod lineup at this point is probably the 2nd-4th gen iPod touches. They have the good Music app before Apple Music made it bad, they have decent battery life, they have inline headphone control support, and they’re fairly cheap. Up to 64GB!

This might be a hot take, but I think a hidden gem of the iPod lineup at this point is probably the 2nd-4th gen iPod touches. They have the good Music app before Apple Music made it bad, they have decent battery life, they have inline headphone control support, and they’re fairly cheap. Up to 64GB!

I should really make a post about all the different Smart Playlists I have and use regularly. I just find Smart Playlists to be so handy and cool. I wish they'd let us edit the rules on iOS so more people had access to them though.

It’s also rather interesting to see people at a complete loss at HOW to do any of this. Buying things? Playing them on a computer? On a phone or mobile music player?

1 year since I made a post that I’ve stood by for years and will continue to stand by. Read this thread for some encouragement if you’re debating whether you want to own your music and stop paying monthly to rent stuff you like.
It’s very fascinating to see so many people post about how streaming on Spotify maybe isn’t the way anymore, and trying out things like iPods again.
I never left that mentality of buying music and locally syncing it to my iPods. I’ve been doing it since 2005 when I got my first iPod. Welcome back!

Got this 2009 Mac Pro and 24” Apple Cinema Display locally for $25 all together! Everything is in nice condition. I installed Mac OS X Snow Leopard on it using my NetRestore server and it running great! This is my second Mac Pro so I’m not 100% sure what I’ll do with this one yet.
