I think they're conflating a couple bills that absolutely DO harm trans people. A lot of Senate Dems are cowards but the 'blue MAGA' rhetoric is actively killing LGBTQ and women. Pretending a handful of Dems represents the party and that any Dem is worse than the best R is how we got Trump again.

We can't leave the party until we get ranked choice voting. Until then, the Dem party will continue to be about 5 parties wrapped under one. In the meantime, I am a Democratic Socialist making change in my local party. Are you?

Again, THE NATIONAL DEMS ARE NOT THE PARTY. The people are. We don't like their actions? PRIMARY THEM. Don't know who can? BECOME A PRECINCT CHAIR. That gives you voting power, community connections, and can be part of the creation of platform, campaigns, policies, etc.

Garland was terrible but the real culprits in this are SCOTUS with their bullshit presidential immunity ruling. It has no precedent and exactly zero basis in the Constitution.

The point I believe is that finally recognizing something you've been holding onto is trash doesn't mean you've been picking up litter. They've got a long way to go before they get to the point of liberal or Democrat. People have to stop assuming nonTrumpers are automatically allies.

There have been so many people pushing against these very same members for a long time, for a variety of horrors including their betrayal of trans humanity. This is EXACTLY what primaries are for. It doesn't mean you stop and give in to the wolves - it means you get fighting.
