Just to be clear, the quote is still dumb as shit, I just think this is his very ungracefully arrived at motive ... and he's been at this for a while, my dad has complained about him for years.

A farmer can't just decide to sell raw milk direct to consumers. The milk board would come after them I believe. We used to have people ask to buy raw milk from us and my dad would always say no, but we used to drink it straight from the bulk tank.

That's why he brings up milk boards ... all farmers sell milk to the board based on quota and then the boards sell the milk to the processors--the dairies etc. Then the board pays the farmers. The quota means the farmers are only allowed to produce what the board has agreed to buy based on demand.

The quote is kind of jumbled but I think what he is trying to do is say that supply-management is the reason the far-right can't access raw milk and therefore he hopes to get them to add supply management to their grievances.

Charlebois has been an anti-supply management stooge for ages but it's pretty low to be trying to court the far-right on the issue.

Grew up on a dairy farm and there is a special place in dairy hell for people who sell unpasteurized milk.

This was like watching a man walk into multiple bear traps and then thank you for the opportunity.

I have the manuscript for an autobiography where a sailor visits New York in his tweens and remembers standing on a hill and looking down at Greenwich Village.

The answer is always no but you stopped reading at "equivocating".

Will media outlets ever stop equivocating by ending headlines with a question?

We already have passport-free travel between Newfoundland and St. Pierre. I went a couple months ago with my driver's license.
