The recent ICE raid which emptied an entire apartment building was apparently at the request of Wells Fargo, which is trying to foreclose on the building.

One way out of this might come wrapped in Reaganite branding. Somebody runs on "America Is Open for Business." They'll promise to end tariffs by fiat, reopen global trade, launch a ludicrously expensive marketing campaign to convince tourists they won't be kidnapped. 20% chance it's a Republican.

I think the new Doja Cat is very fucking good. As President of the Jack Antonoff Haters Club, I will unfortunately have to admit that he really did his thing here. The sax flourishes really work throughout without sounding gimmicky. The drum tones are perfect. The mix is otherworldly.

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America
