I have never been a fan of Transformers in any fashion, but this is such an incredible read. There aren’t a lot of stories i give 5 stars to.

The story by Johnson is simple but elegant. The art by Spicer hold its anime inspiration on its sleeve without being derivative.

Finished my first Judge Dredd TPB.
This probably wasnt the most faithful introduction to the character, but i had enough background knowledge on him and the setting that i wasn’t confused.

Simple and fun. Garth Ennis isn’t breaking new ground or being bold like with Preacher, but he’s rock solid.

Im SO stoked this is off of hiatus.

One of the best SF series I’ve ever read. Amazing concept and phenomenal execution,Johns and Fabok really struck gold. More people need to read this series.

One full year of this delightful mini painting hobby

Finished this classic from Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.

Jack Kirby was ahead of his time. The pure energy in his work is unmatched. glad i got to see this snapshot of his work.

The writing was campy and a bit dull but i can see why this was a big deal for the time; Lee’s writing isn’t for me.

The Petracorps (Chaos Hearthkyn kitbash) were some of the most fun ive had painting miniatures. I got the opportunity to try out a lot of fun techniques to make them look like statues.

My headcanon is that it’s a league of undead, risen from ancient forest by the guy in the middle, Bufrik Summers.

I have a confession. I’ve never actually read anything by Jack Kirby, despite always being a fan of his heart. But that is something I plan to rectify today. This was recommended to me by gentlemen at the comic shop, and I’m really excited to dive in.

Warm Fusion, also from DSTLRY, Was a certified banger. Really cool concept and ideas flowing from this one. Hated The City Beneath Her Feet but loved this.

I’m definitely the odd man out when I say I didn’t like this book. I’ve definitely been interested in the DSTLRY brand, but this was NOT my cup of tea.

The reason to read this is the pencils and the coloring by Elsa Charretier and Jordy Bellaire respectively.

I really appreciate what this series is trying to do- re-establish the history of the universe and become the new standard going forward. but man… issue 1 is covering shit no one gives a damn about.

It covers the most obscure, uninteresting parts of the DCU. Art is also lackluster, tbh.

Going to make a chaos sisters if battle conversion. Trying to think what kit would work best with a basic Sisters if Battle infantry kit.

These are all great options. Might lean more towards the Drukhari wyches and then do a slaanesh color scheme.

Currently reading a “real” book right now. So far all the stories in this have been absolutely delightful. It feels very much like Heavy Metal magazine, but for people with a stronger reading level lol

Planet Death was written by Derek Kolstad, known for his work on John Wick.

First impression: impressive, two page spreads as well as high-quality printing

Immediately after finishing it, it reminded me a lot of Unreal and Gears of War, I wouldn’t be surprised if those were primary inspirations.

This was very corny, and not in a charming way. This very much felt like someone’s first attempt at world building and every part of this felt derivative.

Not a fan, personally.

Finished DC: The New Frontier by Cooke and Stewart. This is a VERY strong book.

The value ALONE from the compact books is incredible but this is like 16 issues worth of reading for $10

I love how its very contemporarily political for the 1960’s, diving into the culture of Cold War America.

Finished the first volume of the deluxe edition of Battle Angel Alita. Honestly, i get the hype. It’s very violent, so it you aren’t good with gore, steer clear. It is really cool to see how it contributed to the Cyberpunk sub-genre in a big way.

A personal top 10 comic

Just finished Preacher TPB 1.
This had the first 12 issues of the series and each issue had a lot of content.

As a huge fan of the show, i was eager to give the source material a shot.

Overall, it was phenomenal and one of my favorites so far.

One of my new Votann models!

Decided to make my Votann a chaos faction. Was thinking of naming them The Petra-Corps, alluding the fact that they are all going to have old, weathered armor. I want to sell the idea that these are an undead legion that rose from the ruins in an old forest.

This is nostalgic to me. It reminds me so much of Hotline Miami. Jake Smith absolutely killed it. The art style is a little bit like Ed Piskor, but much more colorful.

Every part of this feels like a stylish labor of love and it has SO much heart.

Honestly, incredible read. It was so endearing, so funny, and it really captured the spirit of the character.

It felt like I was watching a continuation of the TV show.

This character feels a lot like Deadpool, but with much better writing.

Another couple of great shots of these guys. It’s not perfect, but I think these are some of my best yet.

Project I’ve been working on. I’ve been really trying to do non-metallic metal effects on some Emperor’s Children.
