Up for helping with #SlowWays this weekend? This map shows 900 routes across Britain that need just one more good review to be verified🐌✅⭐️❤️

Could you check one... or even a trail of routes? And inspire others to follow in your footsteps?

Some views from my @slowwaysuk.bsky.social #WestHighlandWay walk with @stuartmilligan.bsky.social from Bridge of Orchy to Kingshouse.
Looking along the side of the Actual Bridge of Orchy on the right with three walkers on it, and on the left is the river it crosses. View along the river from the Actual Bridge of Orchy. Moody view across Rannoch Moor. Autumnal grasses and heathers, with lochans and mountains in the distance. Even moodier view across Rannoch Moor, mostly fairly dark, but a patch of moorland and hillsides in the distance are lit by the sun.

Walking the #WestHighlandWay using @slowwaysuk.bsky.social. This is the Tyndrum to Bridge of Orchy section.
View along the footpath with a pebbly river on the left and mountain (a Munro) ahead. Blue sky with Simpsons Clouds. Lovely scenery. View straight along the footpath with a Munro mountain ahead, covered with little rivulets running straight down its side.

Our accommodation for the first night of our #WestHighlandWay @slowwaysuk.bsky.social trip was Bridge of Orchy Station, which houses a delightful hostel. @stuartmilligan.bsky.social
View along the platform with part of the station hostel included. View along the platform with the train information showing. View along the platform with part of the station hostel included. A train is approaching, and a man sits on a bench checking his phone. View from the platform and from the station hostel of a train which has arrived.

A misty start to last week's @slowwaysuk.bsky.social adventure on the #WestHighlandWay. The view from the train near Penrith.

🚀 We’re transforming Slow Ways and looking for a brilliant front-end / full stack developer (or CTO!) to help shape our website, apps + routes network.

Know someone:

💡 Open to collaborative methods?
🧭 In the UK and ideally the South West?
⭐️ Interested?

"What if we made walking, running, wheeling, cycling and riding easier for everyone?" written over an image of a path going along the top of a hill and through trees, we can see a view of woodland and countryside below. There is also a Slow Ways logo and a 'stack' icon.

Last chance to back the brilliant Urban Good's Urban Nature Map of #Bristol.

Everyone in the city should have a copy!

Check it out www.avivacommunityfund.co.uk/p/bristolmap...
An example of the map's level of detail at 1:20,000, showing Colinton Dell with a footpath going along the river through woodland.

Last week I spent a day walking @slowwaysuk.bsky.social routes in the #Cotswolds from Moreton-in-Marsh to Chipping Camden to Honeybourne. By amazing coincidence I bumped into Steve Melia of @railwalks.co.uk doing a very similar route, so we walked together. The main route was really lovely.

Brilliant stuff. Such a beautiful part of the country.

Thanks Tony!
