Because I don't want to pay for a new machine cos I just can't afford that right now, I've opted for a repair or replace service with the manufacturer. It costs about half what a new machine would which is brutal in itself but it means I'm not contributing more electrical waste and can pay monthly

More expenses. Washing machine became inoperable yesterday and just had a guy out to look at it. He basically said it'll be expensive to fix and it would take time to get parts, effectively saying it would make sense to get a replacement machine. The machine is only around 4 years old :(

He's an old kitty! I want a new SlyCat suit as my old one is similarly unwearable. I have zero skills to make my own and it's tough to justify the cost of a fursuit when other financial obligations should take priority. It would help with my mental wellbeing though!

As a kid of the 80s I was fascinated by computers and Tron imagined what happens inside a computer which was amazing to see in a movie. I'm not that interested in the idea of what happens when programs make it to the real world, I want to see more of the grid! I'll likely give it a watch regardless

I mean, true. I could have rose tinted glasses for the original but it represented a fantastic idea. Regardless, I'll likely use a free cinema ticket to see Ares this weekend. I just won't be paying £15 to see it at the IMAX like I had originally planned

I really wanted it to not be shit as I've a soft spot for the Tron series. Even though Tron Legacy was disappointing, it took place in a fantastic setting. Now with them taking Tron into the real world and also starring Jared Leto, I had my concerns but hoped it could still be good. Seems it isn't

I remember back in the late 90s, I ran a website which had a site of the month page which inevitably I selected but I said at the bottom let me know if you want your page to be featured. The only person who ever contacted me was someone who ran a The Stone Roses fan site. I had no idea who they were

That sounds precisely how Better Than Life is described in the Red Dwarf novels. People get addicted to the virtual reality and neglect their reality until it kills them. I'm sure plenty of other sci-fi writers have explored this idea before too but that's my reference point

I'm used to Kurzgesagt describing a depressing vision of the future with their what if videos and the like but their latest video about AI ruining the internet is a concerning one. It illustrates the issue quite clearly how AI feeding off inaccurate AI claiming to be true makes everything crap
