Can you put into words what that purpose is? You and the frog have really become icons of this protest.

There’s been a nice overall whimsy that has shown up. The frog is amazing. We had a bunch of other inflatable people here last night, too. I saw people playing Twister the other day.

What they rely on is fear. So by coming out in an absurdist manner, it speaks to them, to some extent, that we’re actually not that afraid.

It also dismantles their narrative a little bit. When they try to describe this situation as “war-torn,” it becomes much harder to take them seriously when they have to post a video saying [U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security] Kristi Noem is up on the balcony staring over the Antifa Army and it’s, like, eight journalists and five protesters and one of them is in a chicken suit.

Proud of Toronto for beating the evil empir...er I mean the Yankees in the ALDS.

The last time the Jays won the World Series, I wrote to then-mascot BJ Birdy. His response was easily the most entertaining I ever received in all of the mascots I wrote to (which was a lot).

Out of all I've tried, so far there's only two kinds of anti-depressants that always make me feel better, have no dosage limitations or side-effects whatsoever.

Friends and fursuits.

I am SO eternally grateful to have found such amazing animal people I can comfortably be my vulnerable self with. 💚

That's the thing, I can't even begin to comprehend what my life would have been without internet. It's done a lot of good for me, but most good does not come without bad.

I am VERY VERY glad I lived in a time before it, but cursed by the nostalgic memory of much simpler things were before it.

Schools won't help with it, curriculums have been out of date for decades & shitty change comes infinitely faster than useful change.

Sheer trial and error is the most reliable, yet least compassionate teacher.

Communication is free, and the obvious solution, so why are people so afraid of it?

The kids growing up and being nursed on social networks are not being given the tools to succeed, they're just expected to get it because everyone else is doing it too.

Gen X'ers, our parents didn't live this so they couldn't help. But modern day parents DID and they have to fill that role better.

Our entire adolescence has been re-routed through online spaces and completely different rules of engagement.

How we make friends, how we think of friendship, how we even figure out what our own social needs are.

And there's not enough communication to help each other figure it out. Not nearly.

When I first started to use the internet 20-some years ago, I had no concept of how entirely it would affect every aspect of my life. I think few people really can grasp the enormity of how it has changed everything socially, and how much emotional intelligence it takes to balance it's effects.

The rapture isn't coming. At least, not like this. The crows know.
