One more thing about the Machado/Peace Prize thing: Imagine if he'd just had the tiny modicum of grace it would have taken to say no. He'd still get to trumpet how the winner wanted him to have the prize, but he could have been the bigger person and granted her respect in return! But he couldn't!

It might be about 15 years since I’ve had any Microsoft Office software installed on my computer — at work or at home. I ran a whole business at a large software company for five years using Apple Numbers! None of the Office users noticed.

I do have to say, though, that I have some really wonderful memories of walking across campus, through the woods and over bridges, when I was a student there in the ’80s.
