This was an exciting stream to watch, I usually have you on as background noise, but I was glued to my screen. Great content today and, I think, some very good prog.

I'd train full-time again if I could get in the ring with any of them.

The Republican victim complex writ large.
December 21, 2025 at 5:15 PM
Fucking pathetic.
December 21, 2025 at 5:14 PM
To Republicans the perpetrators are the victims.

Is there any hope for Democrats gaining control of the Senate in 26?

Will elected Republicans turn on Trump over the Epstien files to the point of impeaching Pam Bondi? Are they willing to through Trump under yhe bus to try and save thier own hides during the midterms?

Welcome to the deep end of the pool.

At least it'll be easy to peel off.

I know this is the Onion because Trump's greed and ego will never let him say he has enough.

Is, is killing children.

But go ahead Larian, use generative models, spit in the face of artists, your customers, give up your integrity, bow to the billionaires and their vision of a dystopian future. Cause you're just as fucked as the rest of us. Might as well cash in while you can.

It took me weeks of alerts and missed opportunities to get a graphics card at retail pricing. I'm still using that card today. And lucky for me it's a fucking 3090. I have 24gb of vram. Lots of people still have 8gb or less.

Every studio using gen "AI" is spitting in the face of their customer base that can't afford to upgrade ram or buy more storage to run their unoptimized crap. I spent $5k on my PC 5 years ago and thought it was expensive then, oh boy.
December 18, 2025 at 4:35 PM
Game companies might not have caught on yet, but if you can't build a gaming pc, or buy a console you can't buy their games either. And with every bit of memory, storage, and GPU now promised for those same destructive data centers there is nothing left for consumer electronics.
December 18, 2025 at 4:32 PM
Of course generative models are also a blight on the environment, wasting wast amounts of power and water. "AI" data centers are not like typical data centers and take absurd amounts of local resources driving up the cost of living for those around them.

Injecting monolithic generated slop into that product robs it of it's soul.

I can describe a desert sun set, show you dozens of pictures, but it'll never evoke the same emotion of seeing one for yourself. And that's the beauty of gaming. It takes us places, let's us experience so much, feel things we've never felt.
December 18, 2025 at 4:24 PM
It's asking someone to describe or draw a painting they saw instead of seeing it for yourself. You lose all the emotion and inspiration of the experience. It's being told how much fun a Rollercoaster is instead of riding one yourself. Or worse reading the yelp review of riding.
December 18, 2025 at 4:20 PM
If every game is starting to look the same to you there's a reason. Its Generative Models. "AI" isn't creative, it outputs the average of all the art it steals. We call it slop for good reason. It's the brown sludge of mixing all the paints together.
