Contrary to popular opinion, I am alive. There's stuff afoot and I think it'll be fun. Next, some digs at ol' Tommy A.E. and a quick skim of the history of the outlet should be out this week. Then, I have a new Sonoff smart plug to review on Thursday for its release.

I realize we're three days in, but if anyone else would like to try to hit a word goal for this month (or any), there's a place you can track your writing projects. Here's an example: projectwordcount.com/public_writi...

I am presently experiencing distractspiration, or a moment of inspiration that motivates you to do something other than the thing you were doing due to previously being inspired.

I have to admit, I use a tool that lets me post to a list of sites (here, the letter formerly known as Twitter, and the failbook--don't judge me, I have to), but I don't see replies or other posts. When I log in here, though, there's always cool stuff I've missed. I need to do that more. I shall try

Not that I'm super active on the socials anyway, but I wanted to let everyone who sees this stuff that I'll be even more silent for the month. My wife and I are doing Novel November. (not NaNo)

While we no longer participate in NaNoWriMo officially, my wife and I still attempt a 40k+ word novel every November. We've decided to add Outline October in preparation for what we now refer to as Novel November. Just a little added distraction in strange times.

I recorded video today. I talked about NEMA and what they were up to a while back. I also started unpacking the 10 foot dual rollershade I've been sent to review.

Did I mention that I did a video on the Edison Socket? We had this before we had outlets, which I don't really talk about in this video, but I will on an upcoming video on outlets. Why? Have you met me yet? youtu.be/3828-RGu7oA

I'm considering restarting the podcast and I have a few specific topic ideas in addition to simply covering what sort of stuff is coming out, but I'm not sure if there's enough broad interest to devote the time. I might give it a go, we'll see.

In an effort to actually use my social media and be able to announce things outside channel videos, I'm attempting to use a posting tool to simultaneously post on all my stuff--well, most of it. In theory, I'll be more interesting or at least you'll be up-to-date on how uninteresting I am.

The automobile brought us global lead poisoning, wildly accelerated climate change, oil companies with the most economic power on earth, vast political corruption, pipelines that stretch continents, oil spills, deindustrialization, and more. Convenience has a greater cost than freedom, it appears.
Our public streets have become a testing ground for a private company deploying multi-ton machines that have already cost lives. No one asked for consent. The public bears the risk because lawmakers failed to regulate.
The case, which stems from a deadly crash in 2019, raises broader questions about the safety of Tesla's driver-assistance systems, and whether the company has exaggerated their capabilities.
