Reiner did break through. People forget things are relative. If everyone has a job and a chicken in the icebox, maybe it doesn’t. Hell, if Trump had simply said “Ah, to hell with him,” maybe it doesn’t. But he implied Reiner was killed specifically for opposing Trump, which is nuts.
I'm not sure I agree. The Rob Reiner thing really broke through with a lot of people. And if thought things were fine, he wouldn't have gone on national TV and melted down like this.
How many people will this really break through to? I maintain that if you ask 10 random people tomorrow what they thought, eight will shrug and continue on in blissful ignorance.

Yes, and the next time you all freak about my "be careful with words" pedantry, this is the dire result of 20 years of calling everything "terrorism," something I objected to long ago for the same reasons that I carp about fascism, etc.

I have never seen a White House Chief of Staff sound the alarm like that. Wiles is no idiot. But according to her, his circle is fools, amateurs, con men, and dope fiends. Therefore it's a lot worse than she describes, and - more important - the president apparently doesn't care she says so.

I know I've been beating this drum for over seven years now, but Donald Trump is a very and truly sick man who should be in a mental or penal institution and certainly not the White House.
this is one of the most psychotic things Trump has ever posted

Chancellor Merz is right: Europe can no longer depend on America.

But he's wrong to say that America is pursuing its own interests.

Trump is pursuing his deranged and corrupt interests, not ours.
