The Four Agreements was a bummer read. Too much problematic language. I felt like I was being preached to by a cult leader or abusive partner saying why I need to forgive all and how mental illness isn't real!

Only about 5-10% was good. Otherwise, feels like Andrew Tate wrote it.

This month's updated "ciriculum". There are some not listed that I also am working through, but these four are the majors atm. I probably won't pick the others back up until these four are completed.

It's Lesbian Visibility Day, and I see that Bookshop is having FREE SHIPPING until the day's over, so it's clearly time for some lesbian horror 🌈😈

About 20% into When the Wolf Comes Home.

Nat Cassidy keeps appearing on my TBR. His ideas hook me! Nestlings and Mary are sitting waiting for me.

Rest Stop was a bit lackluster for me. My brain felt something else was going on & it left me disappointed by the ending, which also felt a bit rushed.

Was really disappointed in Wake Up and Open Your Eyes. I really enjoyed & related/connected to What Kind Of Mother... but this one really missed the mark.

! Spoilers !

Too many alternating tenses. Too many repeating words/phrases. The middle was the best part, Noah and his narrator are annoying.

Just thinking about the ending to Bury Our Bones In The Midnight Soil again... man.

Charlotte was so lost. Idk was it the guilt? Like she had before? She really should've just admitted she lied about reversal. But then like idk just give her the basics.

It's always, "she smelled of strawberries and vanilla..."

I fell in love with: "she smells of cinnamon and soda bread..."

Does anyone else hate the new trend with paperback books where the cover is shorter than the rest of the book and they use the second page's trim to put things like "BESTSELLER"??

It is for sure a bookish ick for me.

Finished up Woom!

I really liked it. The story, writing, and characters were great for a splatterpunk/extreme horror.

I could eat this book but holy shit. I need a break lol.
