I'm a dude who loads files into a DAW and hopefully the end result sounds like a professional piece of music. Also bang on amplified stringed instruments. Have an Emmy.
@dark1x.bsky.social Hey, I salvaged this (what appears to be) IBM Aptiva 2128 from my late ex-IBMer grandfather's house. Anything particularly special about these?

Doom The Dark Ages improves so drastically from the removal of the slow mo that I want to know who on the team was insistent that it happen on every melee strike and parry.

This is actually a really helpful visualization to show what's being done in the frequency spectrum when you choose a mix version instead of really vague settings like "treble boost" or "headphones." I know the EQ curve of my sound setup, I want to know what EQ shaping is being done in the game.

The name "Nintendo" was rapidly becoming a generalized term to refer to all video game devices (the same thing had happened earlier with nose tissue paper and "Kleenex". Nintendo put these ads out making sure people would specify that only *Nintendo* branded video game consoles were "Nintendos."

I already spent enough this Christmas on an actual vintage 70's Fane speaker. If it's not a Crescendo (the Gilmour speaker), it sounds *damn* close since it has the same giant magnet and Kurt Mueller cone with aluminum dust cap.

Directional occlusion is Ambient Occlusion that also takes the color of whatever object is being shaded into account and I don't understand why OP suggests turning it off.
