Mail call. I backed the Cosmere TTRPG on Kickstarter and it finally arrived. I've never played D&D or any other tabletop role playing games, but I like Brandon Sanderson's books, so I'm hopeful the game will be fun.

Assembled Lego 40769 Sega Genesis Controller. This was a bonus set with recent purchase. The set came with stickers to do the US, UK, and Japanese versions of the controller. The back features a Sonic diorama.

Lego 76328 The Classic TV Series Batmobile. I loved watching the 1966 Batman series as a kid and am excited to add this 1,822 piece build to my collection.

In anticipation of a new Mario Kart game this week, I assembled the Lego Mario Kart set. The spiny shell was a bonus I redeemed when ordering the larger set. The Kart sits on a stand that can tilt and pivot. Mario's head, arms, and thumbs move. This was a fun build and will look great on a shelf.

I assembled the Lego Amazing Spider-Man set. This features a brick built 3D Spider-Man crawling out of a frame toward you. The back has 2 mounting pieces so you can hang it on the wall. It is 2099 pieces which I like to think was done as an intentional reference to the Spider-Man 2099 comic series.

I don't think this bio on Donkey Kong in the "Nintendo Today!" app went through any proofreading. Or maybe this is some of that super advanced English you only learn in the Ivy League schools.

I assembled Lego 77092 Great Deku Tree in the Ocarina of Time configuration. My adult Link came with a misprint leg which is kind of neat. The exterior features 2 Deku Babas, a deku Tree sprout, and gossip stone. Inside is a retractable Skulltula, torch, & chest with slingshot. This was a fun build.

For a few years it sat on a coffee table, but now it is on a storage rack in my Lego room next to the 3 shelves I have for the OG Star Wars trilogy Lego sets. Next step is LED strip lighting for the shelves.

I'm a sucker for a good Figma figure. About a year ago, I preordered the director's cut of Link from Tears of the Kingdom. It finally arrived and it looks great. Now I have to decide which action post to display him in.

Finally got around to building the 2nd copy of Lego set 31202 Disney's Mickey Mouse. I used the alternate instructions to make Minnie Mouse's portrait. When placed next to Mickey you can see the white background forms the iconic Mickey Mouse head silhouette. Each portrait is 2,296 single studs.

Amazon canceled my 2018 preorder of Metroid Prime 4, saying it is out of stock. I wonder if Nintendo has decided to make this exclusive to the Switch's successor. Hopefully they give us some news soon.

My son was gathering pillows and blankets for a fort when his kingdom was invading by a sleepy baby.

Mail call. I've been playing a lot of card and boardgames online with friends and liked these enough to order physical copies for my home. Now I just need a larger hallway closet to justify ordering more games.

First Lego build of 2025: set 76285 Spider-Man Mask. This bust is nearly 8 inches tall and comprised of 487 pieces.

It took 35.8 hours, but I got my first win in Slay the Spire. I wasn't sure it would happen when the Time Eater (the final boss I drew) healed for about half his health, but we squeaked it out. Not a bad way to start off the new year.

I didn't do anything with YouTube this year, but someone still decided to spend 2 hours watching this 7 year old 4 min and 37 sec video on my channel. The gameplay is C tier at best because I'm splitting my attention walking my wife through the game. The internet is silly sometimes.

I assembled Lego set 31202 Mickey Mouse. This picture is made up of 2,296 studs. I'm very happy with how it turned out. It includes alternate instructions to build Minnie Mouse. I picked up a second copy of this set so I can do both builds. These will go in my wife's office.

I assembled Lego set 43242 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' Cottage. We have the titular characters plus the prince and evil queen in disguise. The cottage has several animal friends for Snow White. We also have the well and glass coffin. The house opens up to reveal features from the Disney film.

Had a group of friends over for some Super Smash Bros Ultimate. We tried a silly new custom stage where it was difficult to get knocked out below 280%. We all played heavies. Had a blast knocking people around as Ganondorf. If you want to try the stage, search custom levels for "DK Mahomes3."

My wife got up from the couch, and my cat, Sheik, decided to take over her electric blanket. She'll be disappointed when she gets evicted from the spot when my wife comes back.

I've been lurking since the invite-only beta, but I think it's time to introduce myself. I'm a retro game and Lego enthusiast. Sometimes I'm a Ken doll for my wife's cosplays. I enjoy reading, history, films & television, and comedy. I'm hoping to recapture some of the old bird app vibe here.

Day 1 of #FanX is done. Got autographs from 3 Hobbits, Keith David, and Patricia Summerset who voiced Princess Zelda in BotW/TotK. She learned the Hylian alphabet so she could write messages in Hylian. This says "Open your eyes."

#mailcall from Limited Run Games. I picked up the 2 CD soundtrack for TMNT Turtles in Time. I love the art on the album & discs. I look forward to listening to this on the commute to and from work. Turtle power!
