in super metroid, wall jumping against an alive enemy will cause it to "shake." this is normally only seen with enemies frozen by the ice beam
however this also affects spore spawn as it dies, and even these statues in brinstar, because they are considered living actors!

saw this rad two-touch setup for sagat but couldn't get the kill on modern without all manual inputs, was about 80 damage short
so i tried my standard DP corner punish but with a complete drive cashout and... it kills! modern problems, modern solutions

was playing more LBTW, i somehow forgot it has A Maple. really cool especially since it doubles as a callback to Real Maple being in LTTP's gba port

doom being designed to be keyboard only is a myth. it always was meant to be played with a mouse, and that's how romero played. however mice were not standard in the early 90s, and many people didn't have them - so the keyboard was the default
